new year champagneIf I asked you to identify some of the Top 5 New Year’s Resolutions that continue to surface year after year, I bet you would guess – “lose weight”, “spend quality time with family and friends”, “stick to a budget”, “eat a more nutritious diet” or “exercise more”!

You are correct! Here are the stats:

Whatever your guesses were for the Top 5 Resolutions, – I bet you didn’t focus on “positioning yourself for career advancement”, “developing and implementing an aggressive career transformation plan”, “designing your own  leadership development program” or “to build or reinvent my personal brand”.

I don’t know.  But here are the stats and success rates related to achieving New Year’s Resolutions:

  • 45% of Americans make New Year’s resolutions.
  • People who explicitly make resolutions are 10 times more likely to attain their goals than people who don’t explicitly make resolutions.
  • Only 46% of people who make resolutions maintain the resolutions for six months.

I hope these stats and success rates encourage you to include career advancement planning, career transformation, participating in leadership development activities or developing your leadership brand as part of your New Year’s Resolutions.

I would welcome the opportunity to help you make career transformation an attainable New Year’s Resolution.  Contact me at:
